Meet The Artist: Nickie Harrington

Nickie is the artist behind our bespoke Christmas postcard design

"I’ve always been creative — for as long as I can remember, colour, pattern, and making things with my hands have felt completely natural to me."

Nickie’s journey began with a love of transforming spaces. Her early experience in painting and decorating gave her a strong understanding of scale, surface, and bold colour. Over time, that foundation developed into a dedicated art practice, where she found her voice in vibrant Op Art and the power of colour to reshape a room.

Her inspiration comes from rhythm and geometry found in architecture, nature, and music. Influenced by the Op Art movement, she is fascinated by how perception changes with movement and colour. Nickie’s work plays with crisp geometry, hard edges, and vibrant colour to create the sensation of depth and motion on flat surfaces, bringing an energetic, shifting presence to any space it inhabits.

"As an artist, I hope to bring joy, curiosity, and a sense of possibility into the environments my work enters. My aim is always to invite people to pause, engage, and experience their surroundings with fresh eyes."
