Meet The Artist: Shane O' Driscoll

Shane is the Artist behind our bespoke Easter Egg boxes!

 

"Seeing things made from scratch and the joy it brought to people always stayed with me."

 

Shane O’Driscoll is a print-based artist based in West Cork whose work explores rhythm, texture, and form through bold, minimal abstraction. Raised in a home where making and design were part of everyday life, his creative instincts were nurtured early — from watching his mother sew to constant conversations around design. Although he didn’t formally study art until later, inspiration struck while working in a surf and skate shop, where graphics on boards and clothing led him to pursue Visual Communications full time.

After years working in a design studio, Shane felt drawn to develop his own visual language, shifting focus from client work to personal practice. His work is inspired by architecture, everyday structures, music, and the changing landscapes around him. Having lived in cities for many years, he now finds the textures and colours of West Cork influencing his work in new ways. Through experimentation, layering, and chance, Shane creates dynamic compositions that invite close looking and open interpretation.
